Until a few days ago, the bad blood between Freddie Gibbs and Benny The Butcher largely flew under the radar. But now that their issues are out in the open, things are only heating up.

The tension betwixt the two rappers came to light during an interview on Spotify Greenroom's Virtually Necessary: Live before this month, in which the Griselda MC said his working relationship with Gibbs — which includes the collaborations "Frank Lucas" and "1 Way Flight" — "came and went."

After catching wind of his comments on Thursday (March 24), Gangsta Gibbs jumped on Instagram and fired back. "N-gga said 'working with Freddie Gibbs came and went.' I know some other shit that came and went too, northward-gga," he responded, alluding to Benny's recently released album Tana Talk 4.

"Just keep my name out y'all mouth, human, when y'all talking to people who are doing interviews and shit. Only say 'next question, man. I don't want to talk near that north-gga, man.' Just say 'side by side muthafucking question.' For real."

After their souring human relationship made headlines on Friday (March 25), things only intensified over the weekend as the quondam collaborators exchanged subliminal shots on social media.

"I never seen these n-ggas tough nowhere simply the internet," Benny The Butcher tweeted on Friday evening, seemingly addressing Freddie Gibbs' response to his "came and went" comments.

The following day, Gibbs returned with his ain Twitter jab, writing, "Shout out my Houston n-ggaz," nodding to the city where Benny was shot in the leg during a robbery attempt in November 2020.

On Lord's day (March 27), Benny ramped things up by claiming Gibbs "begged" to do a joint anthology with him. The Buffalo, New York native previously hinted at the project back in 2020, just said information technology "probably won't" happen during a recent interview with Apple tree Music'south Ebro Darden.

"How can u hate on a n-gga u begged to do an anthology with…TT4 OUT NOW !!!" he tweeted.

Freddie Gibbs fired back with a series of Instagram Stories, dismissing Benny'south "begging" merits while accusing him of fabricating a beefiness to promote his new album.

"N-ggaz whole marketing program for they album is to beef with Freddie Gibbs. That's cute," he wrote, earlier adding, "If u opened for me before just be grateful."

In follow-upwardly posts he wrote, "Why would I beg a n-gga to piece of work with me when he exercise less than me? Next time just get the Drake poetry cleared and u ain't gotta do all this for promo," referencing Benny'south yet-to-materialize collaboration with the OVO hitmaker.

He continued, "Head up fade solve everything. But y'all n-ggaz own't got the nuts to sit down in a room solitary with me for 5 min."

Gangsta Gibbs connected to respond via Twitter, writing, "I ain't mad cuz I know they merely doing it for promo. Fuck em. Everybody can't love us." Benny The Butcher has withal to accost the topic farther.
